This 1967 MGB-GT this is with us for a complete rebuild, and is expected to take just over a year to complete. The car is finished in Old English white, with black interior trim with read piping, as standard it has a full length “Webasto” sun roof, chrome bumpers and wire wheels.
Project Update June 2018:
Finally 6 months behind shedule the body shell came off the rotator, the delay was due to a number of reasons. However the car is now back on the sub frames and is currently having final welding and panel alighnment checks made in readyness to go to the paint shop.
Progress update October 2017:
Work has progressed very well over recent months with this project, with welding repairs done to the RH side sills and rear wing, this included putting in all new panels to replace previous poor repairs. As the welding repairs are now all but finished with ony a couple of small finishing jobs to complete. Both the front and rear sub frames are built up ready to be fitted to the body at the appropriate time, but will require a small amount of touch up paint.
Looking ahead, there is still much to do, with the repairs completed on the body shell this will then be seam sealed and the underside stone chipped and painted. Once the shell is back on its wheels it will be lead loaded, filled and primed ready for painting and then reassembly, it is certainly going to keep me rather busy over the next few months.
