Its that time of week again, its time for a round up of the latest goings on here at KGC Engineering’s workshop, so lets get on with it:
Triumph Spitfire: Work is progressing well on this car with a view to it being MOT’d in the very near future, the carbs have been refitted, with new hoses for the fuel and heater systems, in addition new mirror stalks have been fitted to the doors. The seats have made good progress with the bases now completed, the backs and frame should be done early next week, then its a clean and polish before we head to the MOT center and hopefully a pass.
MGBGT: whist the main focus of work has been on the Triumph spitfire, we have been able to continue with some of the body work repairs to our MGBGT so its progressing well
Morris Minor Traveller: sadly no further news to report as yet but its hoped to continue work on it in the near future.
Austin 8CWT Van “Ethel”: Ethel our works van is still giving good service and has been spotted by a number of people, whilst we make our rounds around town.
1972 MGBGT: this will finally be returning to our workshop for completion, we will be collecting the mechanical working parts ready to overhaul and refurbish as required in the next week or two.
Porshe 911: This will be in for a quick Recommission and then further maintenance as required.
Morris Minor 2 Door Saloon: this is coming to us for a quick repaint, to protect the metal work and make the car more presentable.
So as you can see its been and is looking to be a busy time for us, those of you who have been following our Twitter feed will have noticed that we have now put up a Cover Star car for the month, this month its the beautiful Triumph Spitfire, so do make sure you head to its page in the works area for more information.
As always we are open for more work, currently we are looking for smaller winter repairs and recommissions rather than long term restorations but don’t let that put you off as we still want to hear from you. Please do keep up with us on Twitter and on Facebook and don’t forget to follow and like us.
Happy Classic Motoring
